School of Management boasts a rich history and tradition which dates back to the Department of Technological Management in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Sciences, which was one of schools in Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 1986, it had merged with one of schools in East China Textile University (Current Donghua University) into the Department of Management Engineering. And then, School of Management has been officially established in 1996.

After more than 10 years construction and development, the School of Management has developed into a school that covers two disciplines:Management and economics. Simultaneity, we are the school that intersects with other disciplines such as engineering and social sciences. The School of Management has 15 undergraduate majors including Business Management, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Corporate Finance, Information Management and Information System, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Finance, International Economy and Trade, Oriental Management, Tourism Management (cruise economy), Public Service, Labor and Social Security, Home Based Care Service and others. Business Management and Public Management are two top-level disciplines of academic master's degree and MBA, MPA two professional master's degree.We jointly running Innovative ScienceHealth and Life ,Management Science doctoral program with Hamstad University, Olu University and Hannam University. School of Management currently has 178 faculty members and 142 full-time teachers, including 17 professors, 46 associate professors, Seniorvice-seniortitle accounted for 44.37%, 122 teachers owned doctoral degrees, represent 85.92%, Most of the teachers have more than 1 year of overseas study or visiting experience. The School of Management currently has 4,500 more students, include 3,500 more undergraduates and 900 more postgraduates.

School of Management has signed cooperation agreements with business schools in 14 countries and regions,Includes United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, South Korea and Taiwan. Trained PhD graduates, dual master's degrees, mutual credit recognition programs, and undergraduate 2+2 double bachelor's degree programs. Foreign experts are invited to give lectures every year, 500 more students are selected to going abroad to communicate, nearly 100 international exchange students from Germany, United States, Russia, Mongolia, Vietnam and other countries come to the school to study.
